an increase in size od an organ without increase in the number of cells; may result from an increase in activity, as in muscles
HYPERTROPHY
hardening; an abnormally hard spot or place
INDURATION
conversion of cells to a form that is not normal for that tissue
METAPLASIA
a tumor attached by a thiin stalk
