Pre-Maneuver Checklist
Fuel Selector : Proper Tank Engine Instruments : Check Mixture : Full Rich Fuel Pump : On Landing Light : On Carb Heat : On / Off Complete two 90* clearing turns Announce Position on Radio
Slow Flight Entry
- ) Power Smoothly Reduce to 1500RPM
- ) Attitude: Increase Gradually In Response To Decreased Airspeed To Maintain Desired Performance & Altitude
- ) Flaps: 40
- ) Establish & Maintain Airspeed Approximately 5-10 Knots Above 1G Stall Speed
Slow Flight
Pre-Maneuver Check : Complete
Power : Reduce to 1500 RPM
Attitude : Increase gradually to maintain altitude
Flaps: 40* Landing Configuration
Establish and maintain an airspeed 5-10 knots above the 1G Stall Speed
Pitch for Airspeed - Power for Altitude
Slow Flight Recovery
Power: Smoothly advance to full, adjusting pitch attitude as necessary
Flaps: Retract to 25* Immediately
At 65 KIAS retract to 10*
Accelerate to 75 KIAS : Retract flaps to 0*
Accelerate to Vy and level off upon reaching desired attitude.
Attitude and power return to cruise
Power Off Stall
Pre-Maneuver Check : Complete
Power : Reduce to 1500 RPM
Attitude : Increase gradually to maintain altitude
Flaps: 40* Landing Configuration
Attitude and Power: Stabilise in approach configuration 63 KIAS
Power : Smoothly reduce to idle.
Attitude: Smoothly establish attitude to produce a full stall
Power Off Stall Recovery
Attitude and Power : Simultaneously lower the angle of attack, add full power rolls wings level and retract flaps to 25*
Establish a Vx or Vy climb attitude
At 65 KIAS : Retract flaps to 10* with positive rate of climb.
Accelerate to 75 KIAS : Retract flaps to 0* with positive rate of climb
Accelerate to Vy and level off upon reaching desired altitude.
Power On Stall
Pre-Maneuver Check : Complete
Power : Reduce to 1500 RPM
Attitude : Increase gradually in response to airspeed decrease and maintain entry altitude
Reaching Vr : Advance power to 2100 RPM and increase pressure on the rudder
Attitude : Smoothly establish to produce a full stall
Power On Recovery
Lower angle of attack to horizon Apply Full Power Coordinated use of aileron and rudder Accelerate to Vy Attitude : Level off and return to cruise setting
Steep Turns
Pre-Maneuver Check : Complete
Attitude and power : Level flight and maintain Va
Smoothly establish 45* of bank
Increase angle of attack to balance the load factor and increase power by 100 RPM
Maintain awareness of the relative position of the horizon to the nose of the airplane
Begin rollout 20* before reaching entry heading
Turn Around a Point
Select a ground reference point
Establish altitude between 600 and 1000 ft AGL
Power : 2300 RPM
Pre-Maneuver Check : Complete
Start the maneuver on downwind and abeam the point.
Ensure that the reference point is visible at all times, maintain a constant distance and altitude
S-Turns
Select a ground reference point
Establish altitude between 600 and 1000 ft AGL
Power : 2300 RPM
Pre-Maneuver Check : Complete
Start the maneuver on downwind.
Ensure that the reference point is visible at all times,
