Maneuvers Flashcards

1
Q

Climb to cruise

A

200 ft prior to level-off altitude, begin lowering the nose toward the level flight attitude

Trim for acceleration

5 knots prior to desired cruise speed:
Power- smoothly reduce to normal cruise, 54% (fast cruise, 80%)
Attitude- set level flight picture
Trim- remove pressure and coordinate

Lowering the nose to the level flight attitude immediately instead of TOWARDS the level flight attitude. Remember the airspeed is still slow.

Not trimming during the transition

37
Pattern interval
The aircraft ahead of you is abeam or behind your wingtip AND has completed at least 90 turn The aircraft ahead has departed in accordance with local SOP or course rules At a tower-controlled field, the above conditions are met, AND you are cleared by the controller At a tower-controlled field, the above conditions are met, AND you are cleared by the controller If the preceding aircraft is a full stop or you are a break, the proper interval are specified by local SOP
38
Departure interval
Past the departure end of the RW, flaps up, and the aircraft upwind has either initiated the crosswind turn or raised the landing gear to depart
