Maneuver Objective Statements Flashcards
Turns Around A Point
keep a constant radius around a point while correcting for wind using inside & outside references.
ALT +/-100 AS +/-10
S-Turns
series of S-Turns across a linear ground feature, with semi-circles of equal size and shape, accounting for wind effects while maintaining constant altitude & airspeed.
ALT +/-100 AS +/-10
Rectangular Course
ground track equidistant from all sides of a rectangular area on the ground, accounting for wind effects while maintaining constant altitude and airspeed while using inside and outside references.
ALT +/-100 AS +/-10
Steep Turns
steep bank, maximum performance turn while using inside and outside references.
AS+/-10 ALT+/-100 Bank+/-5* Hdg +/-10*
Slow Flight
positive aircraft control at the speed in which any increase in angle of attack, increase in load factor or reduction in power would result in a stall warning or aerodynamic buffet.
AS+5/-0 ALT+/-50 Bank+/-5* Hdg +/-10
Power Off Stall
recognize and recover from a stall in the landing configuration. (Hdg +/-10* straight flight)
(Bank +/-5* not exceed 20* turning)
Power On Stall
recognize and recover from a stall in the takeoff or departure configuration. (Hdg +/-10* straight flight)
(Bank +/-10* not exceed 20* turning)
Accelerated Stall Demonstration
demonstrate to the student that the aircraft will stall at a higher airspeed under increased load factor. (coordinated 45* bank (ACS)
Vmc Demo
recognize and recover from a loss of directional control.
Recover +/- 20* entry heading AS+/- 5 of VSSE/VYSE during recovery
Drag Demo
demonstrate to the student the effects on aircraft performance under various configurations.
