A

1) Identify change - describe and outline how it would benefit the project

2) Impact assessment - consider how it would impact the wider project. Use of change impact forms by relevant consultants.

3) PM would make a recommendation, client will give their informed consent/rejection

4) Change planning and schedule - agree methodology with project stakeholders

5) Closure/instruction - final check with the client on approved docs. Update change log, issue instructions etc.

What is an EOT?

A

Provision in the contract to allow an adjustment to the completion date.

Generally agreed for circumstances that are not the contractors fault.

Allows for the construction period to be extended, postpones the period when the client can claim Liquidated damages.
