Managing Personnel Flashcards

Q

What is PFS and what are the different levels of PFS?

A

PFS is not a contract but defined as essential T&Cs of service to which the RN is committed to deliver for its personnel within available resources.

By maintaining PFS we will ensure better motivation, retention, satisfaction and care of our people by creating a sense of belonging. This in turn will lead to the creation of ethos, respect, discipline and good leadership and management.

There are 2 categories of PFS:

CAT A (Mandatory) -
The cost of which must be included in the planning round and cannot be amended by budget holders.

CAT B (Desirable) -
Objectives that budget holders are strongly encouraged to achieve in order to maintain balanced T&Cs throughout the RN.
