Define Job specification.

A

Once the job has been analysed a job specification will be prepared. This is a description of what the job is and what it involves. The job description has the tasks that has to be carried out. The job description should contain all the main details related to the job such as job tile, position in business and job responsibilities.

Define Person Specification

A

Once a job specification has been made the business will identify the personal qualities of the person needed to do the job to the correct standard. The document detailing this is called a Person specification

Internal Recruitment

A

This is when the job vacancy is filled in by someone who is already working for the company. The business may advertise the job on notice Boards or on Internal newsletters.
The advantages of internal recruitment is:
It gives existing staff an opportunity to expand their careers
Inexpensive way of recruitment
improves staff moral
Disadvantages:
Filling in one vacancy will create another one.
Limited number of applicants

External Recruitment

A

The job will be advertised and filled in by someone outside of the company.The job may be advertised on locsl or national newspapers or in specialist publications.Such advertisng allows the business to target specific areas of the population.

Advantages:
New employees bring may bring fresh ideas to the business.
A larger number of people can apply for the job

Disadvantages:
It can be very expensive to hire recruitment agencies
new staff require more training.
