Definition Of quality Management and Advantages and disadvantages,
It is more of a philosophy than a process. It aims to have zero faults reaching the customers. This is achieved by quality circles, meaning each person in the production team will treat the person behind and in front of them as a customer. If they are unhappy with the product they receive or pass on, they can return it.
Advantages:
Aims to get it right first time.
Zero tolerance on any errors or mistakes
Disadvantages:
More expensive to implement than quality control
Everyone must buy in to the process.
