Medical: Thiazide diuretics (bendroflumethiazide), betahistine, prochlorperazine for acute.

Surgical: Grommet insertion, endolymphatic decompression, dex injection, surgical labyrinthectomy.

Acute Hearing Loss

Otological emergency, needs urgent investigation to see if conductive or neuronal (tuning fork and pure tone audiogram tests).

MRI scan to check for acoustic neuroma. Caused by benign cell Schwannoma.
