Exercise guildelines, smoking cessation, weight loss

Personalised plan, annaul review

Inhalers adherance, avoidance of exacerbation

Calm breathing and ACBT techniques

Medical: bronchodilators, anticholingergics, oral corticosteroids, mast cell stabilisers

Outcome measures: symptom control, spirometry and PEF, exercise capacity, exacerbation number, medication change

Cystic Fibrosis Management and prognosis

A

Incurable but management slows lung damage, increased mortality and decreased longevity

Self management is key: airway clearance same as treatment

Avoidance of other CF patients

Medical: sputum cultures, bone density, nutrition, antibiotics, bronchodilators, mucolytics
