Disease & Non Battle Injury (DNBI) - Definition
‘A person who is not a battle casualty, but who is lost to the organization by reason of disease or injury’
Health Risk Management is?
Health hazards are chemical, physical or biological factors in our environment that can have negative impacts on our short- or long-term health.
Health Risk Management Process
4 stages and is underpinned by monitoring activities
Hazard is
- ‘anything that may cause harm.’
Risk is?
the probability that someone could be harmed by these hazards.’
The HRM Model
Identify the Hazard.
•Identify the Population at Risk (PAR) from the hazard (s).
•Conduct an assessment of the risk posed to the PAR from the hazard (s).
•Manage the Risk.
•Conduct Audit and Surveillance of the controls you have implemented as part of your Risk
•Management strategy, continuously/ periodically throughout your deployment.
