Function of Testes
Organ that produces sperm from puberty. Releases testosterone.
Function of scrotum (1)
Pouch of skin which holds testes outside the body to keep them at a suitable temp
Function of Epididymis (1)
Mass of coiled tubes which transports sperm from testes to sperm duct
Function of sperm duct (1)
Tubes which carry sperm from testes to the glands and urethra
State 2 functions of glands
Opens into sperm duct and produces seminal fluid.
Opens into urethra and produces alkaline fluid which neutralises urine.
Give 3 functions of the penis.
-organ which transports semen and urine outside.
-contains spongy tissue which fills with blood when organ is stimulated.
-this makes the organ erect so it can be placed inside the female.
Functions of the urethra
-Tube which passes through penis
-Both semen and urine pass through it
Function of foreskin
-area of skin which covers the sensitive tip of the penis
-removed in process of circumcision
