A male bovine
Bull
A male swine. Its penis is shaped like a corkscrew.
Boar
A male sheep. A filidorm appendage extends from the head of the penis. The sheath is also referred to as a prepuce.
Ram
A male horse.
Stallion
Only have prostate gland. The Cowper’s gland and seminal vesicle is absent. The sheath of its penis is referred to as a prepuce.
Dog
A male rabbit. The name of its scrotum is inguinal pouch. Prostate gland is separated into 3 parts.
Buck
Include chickens, turkeys and other birds. Do not have a scrotum. Testicles are located within the abdomen, next to the backbone. Do not have a urethra or urinary bladder.
Fowl
The primary reproductive part. Produce hormones for reproduction and produce sperm. Made up of sminiferous tubules.
Testicles
A sac or pouch of skin that catries the testicles and regulates temperature.
Scrotum
A tube with three parts. Sperm is stored here for maturation. Concentrates the sperm and transports it from the testicles to the vas deferens.
Epididymis
A tube that transports sperm from the epididymis to the urethra.
Vas deferens
Carries sperm and urine to the penis.
Urethra
Stores urine before it is released to the urethra. Has no reproductive function.
Urinary bladder.
Produce the seminal fluid that transports and protects the sperm.
Seminal vesicles
Releases fluid that mixes with the seminal fluid and nourishes the sperm.
