A female bovine.
Cow
A female swine. Its uterine horns are more prominent than cow’s. Its cervix is not folded but has protruding areas instead.
Sow
A female sheep.
Ewe
A female horse. Has a smoother cervix, without folds like the cow’s.
Mare
A female dog. Its uterine horns are more prominent like those of the sow.
Bitch
A female rabbit. Has prominent uterine horns like sow and bitch. Each uterine horn hss a separate cervix connecting to the vagina.
Doe
Produce the female sex cells called eggs or ova and sex hormones.
Ovary
Recieves the egg from the ovary.
Infundibulum
Also known as the fallopian tube. A tube-like structure that carries the egg deom the ovary to the uterus.
Oviduct
This is where the fertilized egg develops before birth.
Uterus
The fertilized egg attaches to the uterine wall and begins to develop in the __.
Uterine horns
A muscular structure that functions as a passageway for the sperm. Acts as part of the birth canal.
Cervix
This is where semen is deposited. Where urine passes out of the body.
Vagina
Stores urine before it is released through the urethra.
Urinary bladder
Urine is passed from the bladder to the vagina through the __.
Urethra
Located inside the vulva. Is a highly sensitive part corresponding to the penis that is stimulated during mating.
Clitoris
External opening of the urinary and reproductive systems.
