Penis
Organ is spongy tissue which urine leaves the body and during intercourse, semen leaves the body
Scrotum
Pouch of skin that contains the testes
Testis (testes/ testicles)
Oval shaped organs that produce sperm and testosterone (there are 2 in the scrotum)
Epididymis
Long coiled tubes in which sperm mature and await release
Urethra
Tube connected to the bladder through which urine exits
Urinary Bladder
Holds urine from the kidneys
Rectum
Where solid waste awaits excretion through the anus
Prostate Gland
Secretes fluid in which sperm moves
Seminal Vesicle
Secretes fluid in which sperm moves
Vas Deferens
Tubes that carry the mature sperm from the epididymis to the urethra
Circumcision
Removal of the foreskin (the skin which covers the tip of the penis); usually done shortly after birth
-the decision to the circumcise a male child is left to the parents on their religious, cultural, and personal beliefs
