Vulva

Fallopian Tubes
Ova travel through these tunes to get from the ovaries to the uterus
Uterus
Hollow, thick-walled, pear-shaped organ where fertilized ova implants and embryo develops; if fertilization does not occur, lining is shed monthly
Endometrium
Lining of the uterus
Cervix
Lower part of the uterus that protrudes into the vagina (it is the opening from the vagina to the uterus); expands greatly for childbirth
Vagina
Muscular, expandable tubular cavity leading from outside the body to the cervix and uterus
-is NOT a tube, but lies flat when tampon is not inside
