What is malaria ?
Malaria is protoza disease caused by plasmodium by one of its four types of:
1-plasmodium vivax
2- plasmodium ovale
3-plasmodium falciparum
4- plasmodium malariae
plasmodium vivax cause
Benign tertian malaria
Plasmodium ovale cause
Benign tertian malaria
Plasmodium falciparum cause
Malignant tertian malaria
Plasmodium malariae cause
Quartant malaria
Transmission of malaria:
1-by mosquito (anaphylaxis)
2-tranfusion of infected blood
3- by contaminated needles with infected blood
4-by contaminated needle with infection contaginaly
5-By sharing contaminated syringes
Clinical features of malaria :
Fever
Headache
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Back age
Nausea
Chest pain and abdominal pain
Lab diagnosis of malaria:
1- Detecting and identifying malaria parasite microscopicly
2- concetration parasites in venous blood
3-Using rapid malaria antigen or enzyme test
What is the Schizogony ?
When the female anphelex masquito take bllod from man it secreats saliva
The saliva contain SPOROZOITS goes to liver cell and developed to schizont which contains MEROZOITES
Then it goes to RBCs and mature there
Then mature trophozites and to SCHIzont which contain merzoites
Complications of malaria:
Vivax and ovale : Hypnozoites
Malarae: Autoimmune complex (nephrotic syndrome)
Falcrparum: Black urine
