A
Malaria is a disease caused by a single-celled parasite of the genus plasmodium.

How is malaria transmitted?
A
Malaria is transmitted through the bites of infected female mosquitos

How does malaria affect the body?
A
Once the malaria parasite has entered the blood stream it travels down to the liver affecting its function. Once these parasites are matured they leave the liver and infect the red blood cells.
