Part 21 list the requirements for establishing and maintaining the certification of aircraft and components
What is type certificate
A type certificate is the approval of the design of the aircraft and all component parts
What is an airworthiness certificate?
If an aircraft meets the type certificate standards than it receives an airworthiness certificate
What is TSO and what does it mean ?
TSO is technical standard orders , and they make sure the parts meet quality standards. And is approved for installation on aircraft

Through PMA , parts manufacturing approval companies
What is FAR PART 23 ?
Specifies requirements for every component and system installed on an aircraft, down to the smallest detail

Part 39 is airworthiness directives , when an unsafe condition exists they send ADs to notify and describe the condition.

Outlines the standards for aircraft inspection, maintenance and repair, as well as record keeping requirements.
