You can also find your SP level by going to Run prompt and typing Winver.

XP: Open Computer Management > Storage and click Disk Defragmenter.
You need at least 15% free space on the volume you want to defrag.
If you have less than that the. You need to use the command defrag -f.

Start > Control Panel > Backup and Restore.
Click the Set Up Backup link.
Select the media or partition.

Start the Complete PC Backup by:

How do you create a backup using Windows XP’s NTBackup?
Open the Run prompt and typing ntbackup.
To create an Automated System Recovery backup in NTBackup:
Switch to Advanced Mode and click the Automated System Recovery Wizard button.
Specify where to store the backup.
Click Finish.
