- In the future God’s power will be expressed through a Messianic kingdom
- The present world order will pass away after an apocalyptic ending involving a terrifying world kingdom to be replaced by an everlasting kingdom

- The book of Daniel is often misread, should be read as a sign of hope
- Daniel survived the den of lions - many others did not
- Offers appropriate models of behaviour for situations
- When judgment comes on you, hope for deliverance but do not presume it
- God is God and you are not!
