Main Condensers Flashcards
List inputs to the “B” condensers.
East and West MFP Condenser hot wells. LPT "B". Alt. Drains from 4, and 5B heaters. East MFP ELO. Recirc line from MFP seal water pump
List inputs to the “C” condensers.
Condensate booster pump recirculating line.
LPT C.
“C” Drain cooler.
Alt. Drain from 2, and 3B heaters.
What is a result of hi condenser level?
Tubes get covered by water and we loose vacuum.
What is the problem with low condenser level?
Cavitation of hot well pumps.
How does the system respond to low level in condenser?
CRV 55 opens to make up from CST or make up plant.
How does the system respond to a high condenser level?
CRV 155 opens sending water to the CST.
What happens if you loose or have low flow through CFI 16/36 and the reference leg level goes low?
The indicated level will be higher than the actual condenser level.
List inputs to the “A” condensers.
Normal flash tank. LPT A. West MFP ELO. Left MSR Drain Tank. Alt. Drain from 2,3,4, and 5A Heaters
What is the difference between unit 1 and unit 2 condensers?
Unit 1 has equalization ducts between the condensers.
What condenser does the east and west MFP condenser hot wells go to?
B
