Creative Director
Responsible for the creative strategies and the direction of advertising and marketing materials and campaigns.
They supervise teams that may consist of art directors, graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, copywriters and production artists.
They evaluate and ensure the quality of the creative content for new business and client pitches.
In addition to the management aspect of the job, creative directors may also help inspire creative ideas and work collaboratively to make sure clients needs and expectations are met.

Creative Services Manager
Supervise all phases of a creative project from estimating to scheduling to delivery. They may review projects with the creative and account teams and work to ensure quality control throughout the project lifestyle. They may also be involved with recruiting Creative Services Staff, and working with the agency management to develop a strong creative team.

Production Manager
Responsible for all phases of a production from initial scheduling, estimating and reviewing projects with creative and account services, quality control, prepress, printing, delivery and financial follow through. They help facilitate the vision of the producer in any way they can whether that involves providing on set recommendations, taking care of behind the scenes details or implementing production tracking systems. They enforce policies and procedures and help ensure production goes smoothly.

- Why do you need a production manager? Is this for a single production or for on-going projects?
- What are the most important traits of a production manager in your company?
- How many production staff will this person manage?
- What is the work environment there? Is it fast paced? Creative? Relaxed?
- What kind of support does the producer expect from the production director?
Producer
Producers manage creative projects such as movies, plays, video productions, TV shows and the like from conception to completion. They are responsible for schedules and budgets working with creative teams and assigning team members to project tasks. They negotiate with vendors, troubleshoot problems and are ultimately responsible for turning a profit for any investors.

- What is the nature of the productions your company manages?
- What are the key skills you’re looking for in a producer?
- How large is the production team?
- Are there creative professionals and vendors on the team? Are there models or actors involved?
- Will the producer be involved in marketing and production?

Studio Manager
The studio manager sometimes referred to as a studio director supervises the production art team in an advertising agency to prepare artwork for websites, magazines, books, newspapers, posters and packaging. They manage and oversee the daily operations of the studio facilities and staff and act as a liaison to clients.

- How many people make up your creative staff? How many designers? Writers? Photographers? Support Staff?

- What deliverables does your studio produce?

Art Director
Oversees the artistic design and stylistic direction of advertising and marketing materials and campaigns in print, TV, and on the internet. They work with illustrators and production artists to produce the visual elements of a project and they have final say on selection of models, art elements, colors and props.

- How large is the creative dept? How many ppl will report to the Art Director? Will the team be expanding in the near future?
- What are some of the campaigns your company has developed in the past?
- What types of clients do you service?
- Does the creative dept work with outside vendors like printers, photographers,etc?

Marketing Director
Design, implement and facilitate marketing plans. They usually report to the VP of marketing and manage a team of marketing professionals that may include managers, event planners, marketing coordinators, creative professionals and project managers. They are responsible for implementing business objectives and strategies for the marketing department, developing brand objectives and creating plans for growing their business unit. They execute marketing strategy according to the company best practices and policies.

Marketing Manager
Mid Level marketing professionals that are charged with implementing brand and communication strategy, standards and practices for the company. They develop key messages for target audiences to communicate the core brand identity, increase sales, and raise awareness of a company’s products and services. They often lead agencies and internal team members while executing on marketing initiatives and programs. Other duties include evaluating customer research and market conditions, analyzing competitive data and implementing marketing plan changes when necessary.
