magnetism Flashcards
Tesla?
The magnetic flux density is 1T when a wire carrying current of 1A placed at right angles to the magnetic field experiences a force of 1N per metre of its length.
Magnetic flux density?
The magnetic flux density at a point in space is the force experienced per unit length by a long straight conductor carrying unit current and placed at right angles to the field.
Magnetic flux?
The magnetic flux through area is defined as the number of magnetic field lines passing through an area.
Weber??
One weber is equal to one Tesla meter squared.
Faradays law ??
States that the magnitude of the induced EMF is equal to the rate of change of magnetic flux linkage.
Lenz law??
States that the induced current Or emf is in a direction so as to produce effects which are oppose the change that is producing it.
