What is the Magna Carta?
The Magna Carta is a document that King John of England signed, restricting his powers and stopping people from getting wrongfully imprisoned. It meant everyone was subject to the law, even the king.
What are the 3 levels of Government in Australia?
Federal, State and Local
What are the 3 Arms of Government in Australia?
Legislature, Judicial and Executive
What does the Legislative Arm split into?
Lower House: Legislative Council, Upper House: Senate
What does the Legislative Arm do?
Pass Bills that become laws
What does the Judicial Arm do?
The Judicial Arm is made up of all the Federal Courts and the High Court and enforce justice.
What does the Executive Arm do?
The Executive Arm is made up of ministers than enforce laws in all aspects of Australia.
