- they are chaotic, unruly forces
- nature are used to suggest the chaos of the witches
- they enjoy making trouble and destroying the lives of mankind
lamentings heard i’th’air, strange screams of death
- showing chaos due to the regicide of Duncan
- the nature is mourning
- it foreshadows oncoming disaster
- it is dramatic irony because the earth is in chaos due to the killing of Duncan.
