A

A

Macbeth prepares the castle to defend against the attack. His servant tells him that Lady Macbeth has taken her own life. Macbeth talks little about the nature of life. A messenger tells Macbeth that Birnam Wood is moving towards the castle. Macbeth recalls the prophecy and says that he is ready to die.
