Is this a dagger which I see before me
Macbeth: His guilt and dread taunting him as he know what he has to do
Will all great Neptune’s ocean wash this blood
Macbeth: Feels guilt about what he’s done and how not even a sea could vanish the blood
Stars hide your fires/let not see my black and deep desires
Macbeth (act 1 scene 4) doesn’t want god to see him or the sky
Hence horrible shadow
Act 3 scene 4 - Macbeth is being haunted by banquos ghost because of his guilt and orders him to disappear
No man born of woman shall ever have power upon thee
Act 5 scene 3 - Macbeth reminds himself that he is infallible
Life’s but a walking shadow
Act 5 scene 5 - Macbeth voices his despair about the hopelessness of life
