Q
Define Minimal Alveolar Concentration (MAC)
A
- Minimal alveolar concentration of inhalational anaesthetic agent
- that prevents movement in response to a standard skin incision
- in 50% of subjects studied,
- when breathed in oxygen
- in the absence of any other analgesic/anaesthetic/depressant drugs.
