Firing cycle begins if all inhibits pass for the selected firing mode. A signal is sent to the ECU, the GRU, followed by 28VDC being applied to firing solenoid.

In single fire the trigger rammer catch lever holds the rammer shoe until the plunger is depressed. In rapid fire, the tray rammer catch lever holds the rammer shoe until the gun is back in battery.
