• Manifestations:
  – Fever, fatigue, malaise, hemolytic anemia
  – Severe disease associated with severe anemia and multiple complications
• Diagnosis: Blood Smear, PCR, Serology
  – Tetrad (Maltese cross)
• Treatment: Azithromycin + Atovaquone x 7-10 days
