Small cell (15%)
Non small cell:
- Large cell (15%)
- Squamous (30%)
- Adenocarcinoma (40%)
What is the worst type and what are its characteristics
Small cell- in smokers and is aggressive
What is large cell like?
Quick spread a growth
Peripheral
Poorly differentiated
beta HCG secreting
What is squamous cell like?
Slower growing
Smokers
PTH secreting –> hypercalcaemia
Central location
Hypertrophic osteoarthropathy- clubbing
What is adenocarcinoma like?
Non smokers often
Peripheral lesion
Someone presenting with ptosis, miosis and anhidrosis is likely to have what and where?
Horner’s
Pancoast tumour

What is eaton lambert syndrome?
Like a lung cancer version of myaesthenia gravis
What might a normal bronchoscopy in susp lung cancer suggest
Peripheral lesion

HPOA
Periosteal reaction of long bones without underlying bone lesion
Typically symmetrical clubbing
