A
Small Cell (15%)
> Occurs most exclusively in smokers
> mets easily
Non Small Cell Lung Cancer (85%)
(surgical resection is an option)
> Squamous cell (more commonly in men that smoke, accounts for 30% of NSLC)
> Adenocarcinoma (30-50% of NSCLC, more common in women and non smokers)
>Large cell
>Mixed types
> Others (eg, sarcomatoid, carcinoid)
