Q

How is solubility and Ksp related?

A

The higher the Ksp the more favoured the forward reaction and the higher the compound’s solubility.

Q

How are Ksp and Kc calculations different?

A

Ksp expressions only have the [products] raised to their coefficients since the reactant is a pure solid (and its concentration doesn’t change).

The solubility tells you you the equilibrium concentration so no ICE Tables are needed.
