A choice containing a statement that is too broad, too narrow, or beyond the purview of the stimulus
Outside the scope
A choice that compares 2 items or attributes in a way not relevant to the authors agreement or statements
Irrelevant comparison
A choice containing language too emphatic to be supported by the stimulus
Ex: Often characterized by words such as all, never, every, or none
Extreme
A choice that mentions detail from the stimulus but mangles or misstates what the author says or implies about those details

A choice that directly contradicts what the correct answer must say
