If control force continues: - Airspeed…. REDUCE
ENGINE FAILURE
DURING TAKEOFF
Below V1 Speed:
- Wheel Brakes…. APPLY
- Thrust Levers…. IDLE
- Spoilers…. EXTEND
INADVERTENT THRUST REVERSER DEPLOYMENT DURING TAKEOFF
Below V1
- Wheel Brakes…. APPLY
- Thrust Levers…. IDLE
- Spoiler…. EXT
ABORTED TAKEOFF
- Wheel Brakes…. APPLY
- Thrust Levers…. IDLE
- Spoilers…. EXT
Pressurization system schedule
8,600 - Reverts to Manual mode *Amber fault light and and Pressure system light
9,500 - Emer Press activated directing Bleed Air into cabin *Emer Press light
10,100 - Cabin Horn *Red Cabin altitude Hi light
13,700 - Both outlow valves close
14,500 - Pax oxy masks deploy and cabin lights come on
EMERGENCY EVACUATION
- Stop the aircraft
- PARKING BRAKE…. SET
- Thrust Levers…. CUTOFF
- EMER DEPRESS…. LIFT GUARD & DEPRESS
APU: Auxiliary Power Unit:
a. STOP…. DEPRESS
b. MASTER…. DEPRESS - Notify Controlling Agency
- *If an engine fire is suspected:
a. Applicable ENG FIRE PULL Handle…. PULL
b. Either ENG ARMED Light…. DEPRESS
c. Other ENG FIRE PULL HANDLE…. PULL
d. BATTERY 1 & 2…. OFF
e. EMER BAT 1 & 2… OFF
f. Evacuate the aircraft - *If an engine fire is not suspected:
a. Both ENG FIRE PULL Handles…. PULL
b. BATTERY 1 & 2…. OFF
c. EMER BAT 1 & 2…. OFF
d. Evacuate the aircraft
INADVERTENT STOW OF A THRUST REVERSER AFTER A CREW-COMMANDED DEPLOYMENT
- Maintain control with rudder, aileron, nosewheel steering, and brakes
- Both Thrust Reverser Levers…. STOW
CABIN ALTITUDE WARNING HORN, CABIN EXCEEDS 10,000 FT or CAB ALT HI LIGHT (if applicable)
(EMERGENCY DECENT)
- Crew oxy masks…. DON and SELECT 100% OXY
- Thrust Levers…. IDLE
- Autopilot…. DISENGAGE
- Spoiler…. EXT
- Descend at Mmo/Vmo, but not below MSA
- Passenger Oxy…. DEPLOY
OVERSPEED RECOVERY - OVERSPEED HORN SOUNDS
- Thrust Levers…. IDLE
- Autopilot…. DISSENGAGE
- Identify aircraft pitch and roll attitude
- Wings…. LEVEL
- Elevator and Pitch Trim…. NOSE UP, AS REQ’D
If Mach or airspeed is severe, or if pitch and/or roll attitude is extreme or unknown: - LANDING GEAR…. DOWN (DO NOT RETRACT)
ENGINE FIRE - SHUTDOWN
- Thrust Lever…. IDLE (UNLESS A CRITICAL THRUST SITUATION EXISTS)
- *If fire continues more than 15 seconds or there are other indications of fire:
a. Thrust lever…. CUTOFF
b. Engine fire T handle…. PULL
c. Engine ext armed light…. DEPRESS ONE
PITCH AXIS MALFUNCTION
- Control Wheel Master (MSW)…. DEPRESS and HOLD
- Attitude Control…. AS REQ’D
- Thrust Levers…. AS REQ’D
- PITCH TRIM (Pedestal)…. OFF
INADVERTENT THRUST REVERSER DEPLOYMENT DURING TAKEOFF
Above V1
- Rudder and Ailerons…. AS REQ’D FOR DIRECTIONAL CONTROL
- Accelerate to Vr, keep nose wheel on the runway
- Rotate at Vr, Climb at V2
- Positive Rate of Climb Established…. GEAR UP
- Clear of Obstacles…. V2 + 20, FLAPS UP
ENGINE FAILURE
DURING APPROACH
- Control Wheel Master (MSW)…. DEPRESS AND RELEASE
- Thrust Lever (Operative Engine)…. INCREASE AS REQ’D
- Flaps…. 20° MAX
- Airspeed…. 1.3 Vs (FLAPS 20°) MIN
STALL WARNING ACTIVATES
- Reduce angle of attack
- Thrust Levers…. TAKEOFF POWER
- Wings…. LEVEL
- Accelerate out of the stall condition
CABIN FIRE LIGHT OR CABIN/COCKPIT FIRE, SMOKE, OR FUMES
- Crew Oxy Masks…. DON, SELECT 100% OXY
- Smoke Goggles…. DON
- Emer Depress…. LIFT GUARD and DEPRESS
- Pilot and Copilot NORM/OXY MIC Switches…. OXY MIC
