Q

If the AGL is on and a request to use the area inside JEDI south has been coordinated with the pad controller, what must you do on the panel?

A

Switch off JEDI south via the winter ops menu, route the aircraft and then switch JEDI south on again.

17
Q

During snow clearance when will SNOCO1 be based

A

In the VCR

18
Q

How is a snow area activated?

A

Via the winter ops menu on the panel

19
Q

What happens to the reds and greens when a snow area is activated

A

The reds and greens are suppressed in the area that has been selected and red bars surrounding it are brought up to protect the taxiway teams inside

20
Q

What happens to the reds and greens once the area is completed with?

A

The reds will be dropped and there will be no green lights within the area illuminated

21
Q

What happens if you selected a snow area adjacent to a runway?

A

A box wil come up asking the LPO to select the runway mode in use. The options being 09X, 27X, BOTH, NONE or no if you wish to cancel

22
Q

What does selecting the runway mode when selecting a snow area do?

A

It will illuminate or suppress the relevant RGBs for that runway so that the snow clearing teams can move back and forth as they need to on the runway exits.

23
Q

The AGL is on, the runway is OFF, and you select NONE when activating the snow area adjacent to the runway, what happens?

A

All RGBs are suppressed

24
Q

Will an active snow area show up on the RCP as well as the MCP?

A

Yes

25
Q

The runway is set to OFF and the snow areas adjacent to the runway are selected as NONE. Then the runway is set to ARR, DEP, or MIXED. What happens to the RGBs?

A

They will change to reflect the selected runway mode.

26
Q

When a runway team is mustered at M1 and wishes to enter the runway to start snow clearance, what is the step by step process with regards to selecting things on the MCP/RCP?

A

The ARR ATCO will put the runway into OFF mode. Then they will clear the team onto the runway and suppress the A1 bar. Then the LPO will activate the runway snow area. Then snow clearance can begin.
