Basic Components of an Upper/Lower Quarter Screen
• (AROM/PROM) with overpressure
• Muscle testing ((dermatomes/myotomes)) > hold for _ seconds
• Sensation testing ((dermatomes/myotomes))
• Reflex testing
Neurologic Screen:
Motor: (muscle testing/sensation testing)
Sensory: (muscle testing/sensation testing)
AROM; 5; myotomes; dermatomes; muscle testing; sensation testing
Upper/Lower Quarter Screen
(AROM/PROM) with overpressure and muscle testing
o Separated here for your reference by body part; typically performed doing all ROM (first/second), then all muscle testing
AROM; first
Lumbar Spine
AROM:
Flexion, extension, R rotation, L rotation, R side flexion, L side flexion (with overpressure)
