Where is Tib Tube?
A
on neck of proximal head
2
Q
OSTEOMYELITIS
A
Metaphyseal lucency – Bone destruction seen as ragged, moth eaten appearance – Subperiosteal spread elevates the periosteum and stimulates the deposition of new bone parallel to the shaft – Eventually a large amount of new bone surrounds the cortex in a thick irregular bony sleeve
3
Q
Pagents Disease
A
Destruction phase • Radiolucency • Begins at one end of the bone and extends along the shaft • Ends in sharply demarcated V shape – Reparative phase • Bone enlarged • Irregularly widened cortex • Coarse thickened trabeculae • Soft dense bones
