DESCRIBE ARTERIAL ANATOMY TO FOOT.

A
  • There are 3 main terminal arteries and 6 angiosomes
  • Posterior tibial: medial ankle and entire plantar foot
    • Medial plantar a - medial plantar foot and ankle
    • Lateral plantar a - lateral plantar foot
    • Calcaneal branch - calcaneous
  • Peroneal artery: anterolat ankle, lat hind foot
    • anterior perforating branch - proximal anterolateral mallelous/ankle and foot
    • calcaneal branch - lateral hindfoot
  • Anterior tibial artery: ant ankle, dorsum of foot
    • anterior perforator (unnamed) and terminates as dorsalis pedis: dorsal aspect ankle and foot
