Why must sperm be kept in the scrotum at a lower temperature than body temp.?
Because sperm cannot develop at body temp..
What body parts does a sperm go through from where it is produced to the unfertilized egg.
Testes, Epididymis, Sperm Duct, Urethra, Vagina, Uterus, Egg.
What does the scrotum do? Epididymis? Prostate? Seminal Vesicles? Sperm Duct? Urethra?
Scrotum: to hold the testes outside for a lower temp.; Epididymis: to help the sperm mature; Prostate: Produces semen with seminal vesicles; Seminal Vesicles: Produces semen with the prostate; Sperm Duct: Carries matured sperm to urethra; Urethra: Takes sperm and urine out of the body, but not at the same time.
What is the function of the Ovary? Oviduct? Uterus? Clitoris? Vagina? Labia?
Ovary: Where eggs are made and developed, and make hormones; Oviduct: To take the egg from the ovaries to the vagina; Uterus: Where the fertilized egg can rest and become an embryo, then a fetus; Clitoris: Where sexual enjoyment is first seen within the female; Vagina: Birth Canal, where menstrual fluid can exit the body, an the sex organ of intercourse; Labia: To act as female genitalia, and to protect the vaginal opening.

What does FSH do during the menstrual cycle? Estrogen? LH? Progesterone? “Membrane” Hormone?
FSH: makes follicle produce estrogen, and helps the egg mature; Estrogen: Turns off FSH via negative feedback, and tells pituitary gland to produce LH; LH: Ruptures follicle, and helps with ovulation; Progesterone: keeps the uterus walls thick, and turns off LH & keeps off FSH; “Membrane” Hormone; Keeps corpus luteum alive.
Why is it important for the membrane hormone to keep the corpus luteum alive?
Because the uterus would thin out, and FSH and LH would not turn off.
