What was Pasteurs experiment?
He bent the neck of a flask into an S shape and put sterile nutrient broth into it. He then boiled the liquid to kill any bacteria. He saw that the microbes got stuck in the curve of the neck and none appeared in the broth.
Where did Pasteur become well known?
France and this led to other company’s to call him in for similar problems.
What other liquids did Pasteur discover where germs were also responible for turning them bad?
Milk, wine and vinegar
What theory was Pasteur able to prove wrong with his research?
The theory of ‘Spontaneous Generation’ (the theory that germs just appeared)

1865

more emphasis on the prevention on the spread of disease.
