A

-“this head is for the beast. It’s a gift” - jack creates the beast. He is the beast. He created it and he is the most savage and from start mean to others
-“Run away, said the head” - the beast try’s to help Simon by telling to run before it gets dark - foreshadows death and as DIDNT leave he was killed
-“But there isn’t a beastie” - repeated several times by Ralph. Has to remind that isn’t anything and that’s he is confident. Know fear will lead to disruption
-beast symbolises the Cold War - always rumoured about - nationalists - society lives in fear as can hurt them
