Initial control of status epilepticus or severe recurrent seizures
Severe anxiety
Sedation

Lorazepam: Dosages

Answer 4

Adult:
2-4mg slow IV push @ 2mg/min. or IM
repeat 15-20min, max dose of 8mg
Sedation- 0.05mg/kg up to 4mg IM
Pedi: 
0.05-0.2mg/kg slow IV ; IO over 2min; or IM 
repeat 15-20min Max 0.2mg/kg

IV/IO administration: dilute medication with equal vol. sterile water or sterile saline.
IM administration: no dilution required
