Structure of poem
Format= ballad
Ballad- usually put to music- need strong rhythm.
Subverted- there’s a bounce to the rhythm but the content is dark.
Tightly structured, regular rhythm, 4 lines per stanza.
Regularity of oppressed London.
Point that poet is trying to convey
‘London’ is a critique of society- saying there’s so much wrong with London. Every stanza is like an image/ screenshot/ episode sees something different in each.
