- entire exp lasted 30 mins

- 150 students sample size in groups of various sizes
- film of multiple car accidents lasted 1 minute
- the accident was 4 seconds long
- questionnaire asking them to describe the accident in own words and then to answer a series of questions about incident
- critical questions was “about how fast were the cards going when they smashed into each other?”
- 3 conditions: smashed, hit, and a controlled
- 1 week late ppts we’re asked “did u see why broken glass?”, answering yes or no
