procedure
A
- assessment of height, shoulder width and weight were standardised
- measured changed in nutritional status by looking at weight before disorder, 6 months before study and time of study
- 51 different openings from 30cm-80cm projected onto a wall in random order
- each opening presented 4 times
- opening reacher floor so it looked like a door
- 1PP: ppts judged whether own body would fit through opening
- 3PP: judge if expermineter could fit through opening and could walk through without turning

A
- more accurate in predicting body size of experimenter, in 3PP condition the mean perceptual ratios were same, but average ratio for AN group was 1.227 than for controls 1.137
- AN group had sig higher score on own body questionnaire
