How does LA work?
LA blocks sodium channels, sodium is unable to enter the neuron in sufficient quantity and this means the neuron can not depolarize and the action potential can not be propagated.
What does LA do to the threshold potential or resting membrane potential?
LA has not effect on TP or RMP
What electrolyte regulates RMP?
Potassium
What electrolyte regulates TP?
Calcium
What characteristics of an axon make it have a faster conduction velocity?
wider diameter

Does myelination allow the electrical current to skip along the insulated regions or uninsulated regions? What is this known as?
Allows it to skip along the uninsulated regions and this is known as saltatory conduction.
