What is the function of the frontal lobe?
Higher cognitive functions, problem-solving, decision making, attention
What is the function of the temporal lobe
Understanding, language, memory acquisition, perception
What is the function of the parietal lobe
Integrating information from the body’s senses to make sense of the world around us. Perceive our bodies through somatosensory information
What is the function of the occipital lobe
Receives information from the eyes’ retinas which is then processed into visual data. Ability to perceive distance and depth
Where is the frontal lobe located?
Front of brain behind forehead
Where is the temporal lobe located
Found on both sides of the brain near the temples of the head
Where is the parietal lobe located
Between frontal and occipital lobes above the temporal lobes
Where is the occipital lobe located
Back of brain behind the temporal and parietal lobes below the occipital bone of the skull
