4.1 Key aspects of best practice (6)

4.2 (Discriminatory practice examples) Prejudice
- a nurse avoiding people who are perceived as different.
- a nursery worker who treats children from a certain postcode differently because they think they are “common”.

- a child minder sitting a child in front of the TV all day to keep them quiet.
- hospital patients physical needs not being met; not being taken to the toilet when needed.

- care assistants not providing activities for people with dementia because “they won’t remember anything anyway”.
